Alison Mackey helps ONE at Carthage win National Competition

2014 Apr 23

Alison Mackey helped ONE at Carthage win National Competition.

This semester, the group got more than 250 students to write letters to lawmakers and collected more than 750 letters, which is their largest letter drive ever. They also had a meeting with Senator Tammy Baldwin's staff and aided in a expeditionary learning activity at Harborside Academy in Kenosha.

Their on-campus efforts included a dance, ice cream thank-you party for the greeks, and a birthday party for ONE in the cafe.

This is the second national win for the organization, a grassroots advocacy and campaigning organization that works to fight extreme poverty and preventable disease around the world.
