Grant Dunham helps Carthage take second at 2017 CFA Research Challenge

Grant Dunham was on a team of highly skilled and dedicated Carthage College students that achieved outstanding results in the 2017 CFA Research Challenge which took place on Feb. 16 in Madison. The team's final combined score on the written report and oral presentation was just five points lower (on a 100 point scale), than that of UW-Madison, the highest scoring team. UW-Madison's team drew both from their undergraduate finance program and their MBA program.

The CFA Research Challenge is a competition in which student teams from area business schools prepare an equity research report on an assigned company and present their findings to a panel of investment industry experts. This annual educational initiative is designed to promote best practices in research among the next generation of analysts through hands-on mentoring and intensive training in company analysis. It is intended to complement university curriculum by simulating the real world experience of an equity analyst.
