Kenosha student wins Carthage College's Modern Languages Scholarship

Katherine Mueller of Kenosha won a Modern Languages Scholarship from Carthage College. Katherine won in the Chinese category.

Carthage awards 10 Modern Languages scholarships each year to incoming students. These scholarships cover 75% of tuition, and are renewable for four years. The Modern Languages Department is home to a diverse mix of students, faculty, and Target Language Experts from China, Colombia, France, Germany, Guatemala, Japan, and Spain. As a component of the major, students take courses specifically intended to prepare them to study in China, France, Germany, Spain, or Japan. Carthage language majors spend at least one semester, usually in their junior year, studying and living abroad.
