Mitchell Mages Named CCIW Men's Swimmer of the Week

The College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin announced that Carthage College's Mitchell Mages has been named the season's first CCIW Men's Swimmer of the Week following his Red Men debut this past weekend.

Mages, a freshman from Skokie, Illinois, opened his collegiate career at the All-Wisconsin Showcase, hosted by UW-Milwaukee on Oct. 21 in Brown Deer, Wisconsin. He won the 100-yard breaststroke with an unrested best time of 57.82, followed by an unrested best time of 2:10.31 in the 200-yard breaststroke where he finished fourth.

Mages was also part of the second place 200-yard medley relay (1:34.67) as he had a lifetime best breaststroke split of 25.59.
