Rebecca Bowen earns internship with Wisconsin Conservatory of Music

2015 Apr 10

Carthage music student Rebecca Bowen has earned a competitive internship with the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music in Milwaukee. The Wisconsin Conservatory of Music provides musical experiences and training to students aged four months through senior citizens. The conservatory aims to provide enriching cultural experiences and the best musical education to adult and child performers alike.

The internship, provided by the Wisconsin Association of Independent Colleges and Universities, provides an opportunity for Rebecca to assist with conservatory camps and arts administration. Rebecca will be assisting with specific projects for the conservatory including the 30 Ways, 30 Days Campaign and the summer camp report.

This exceptional opportunity is right in line with Rebecca's career goals. A double major in vocal performance and public relations at Carthage, Rebecca hopes to go on to graduate school to study vocal pedagogy. She is also interested in work in public relations for non-profit art institutions.

During her time at Carthage, Rebecca has been seen in operas, music theatre workshop productions, and has toured with the Carthage Choir. She is also the Vocal Pedagogy Lab assistant and helps with recruitment and auditions for the Music Department.

Congratulations, Rebecca!
