Riverdale student heading to mock trial national tournament with Carthage College

DaQuawn Bruce and the Carthage Mock Trial team have earned a bid to the Bell Tower National Championship in Greenville, S.C. Only 48 of 663 teams nationwide reach the Bell Tower Championship.

Carthage finished 7-1 at the Opening Round Championship Series this past weekend in Geneva, Ill. The team took second place in the 24-team tournament beating Notre Dame, Xavier University, and Miami University who was ranked No. 4 in the nation.

The National Championship will occur April 15-17 in Greenville, S.C. Team members will now be preparing a brand new case for the national championship and will be facing teams including Yale, Harvard, and Stanford.
