Sarah Kellogg to study at the Center for Hellenic Studies

2014 May 12

After finishing up at Carthage's archaeological dig in Omrit, Israel, this summer, Sarah Kellogg will head to the Center for Hellenic Studies in Washington, D.C. for a 10-day Information Fluency Workshop.

The workshop introduces undergraduate students to important sources of information for the study of classics, and develops their ability to access, evaluate, and manage resources in a variety of formats. In addition to exploring the broader landscape of scholarly communication, Sarah and the other participants will develop research guides for use by other undergraduates in a variety of academic contexts.

Taking advantage of the setting in Washington, D.C., participants will visit the Library of Congress and the National Archives, and will also hear from guest speakers in the field. Sarah will receive housing on the Center for Hellenic Studies campus, located near Dupont Circle and Embassy Row in Washington, D.C.

The workshop is sponsored by Sunoikisis, a national consortium of Classics programs, of which Carthage is a member.
