Sarah Schmidt named CCIW Women's Field Athlete of the Week

Carthage sophomore thrower Sarah Schmidt was named CCIW Women's Field Athlete of the Week on Jan. 23

She registered a pair of career-bests in the weight throw (16.45 meters) and shot put (12.92m) at the North Central College (Ill.) Cardinal Opener on Jan. 19, which secured her first place in both events.
