Schererville student participates in a J-Term study tour to South Africa, Botswana, and Namibia

2017 Feb 7

Matthew Meneghetti of Schererville participated in a J-Term study tour to South Africa, Botswana, and Namibia with Carthage College.

With a stunning variety of spectacular natural environments, exotic wildlife, historic townships, uniquely sophisticated cities, world-renowned cuisine, and very lively and diverse culture the "Economics and Business in Southern Africa" study tour offered students a journey of discovery like no other.

Southern Africa is a great mix of fast developing economies, adventure, beauty, and culture. Students met with famous economists, business people, writers, and artists. The study tour also included wildlife safaris, visits to dramatic river gorges and majestic mountains, and sailing by the famous Skeleton Coast on a luxury cruise.

J-Term is a special month-long period of study in which Carthage students explore subjects outside their majors or minors, discover new interests, and test their creativity through classes held both on campus and around the world. It's a month to experiment, create and dream. Carthage is ranked No. 4 in the nation among baccalaureate institutions for student participation in short-term study abroad.
