South Elgin student participates in a sports journalism J-Term study tour to Europe

Danielle Noverini of South Elgin participated on a sports journalism J-Term study tour to Europe.

Students on this tour got to learn and practice the art of sports journalism in Europe as they got to report on the world's most popular game. Students traveled to London, Munich, and Barcelona and had the chance to meet with working journalists and toured soccer stadiums and club museums. They also learned research techniques, writing and editing skills, and worked in a variety of journalistic genres including features, profiles, and reporting.

J-Term is a special month-long period of study in which Carthage students explore subjects outside their majors or minors, discover new interests, and test their creativity through classes held both on campus and around the world. It's a month to experiment, create and dream. Carthage is ranked No. 4 in the nation among baccalaureate institutions for student participation in short-term study abroad.
