John Warnock '16, a geography and earth science major from Park Ridge, Illinois, and Professor Wenjie Sun will fly to Washington for the 20th annual Posters on the Hill event April 19-20. The Council on Undergraduate Research, which sponsors the national research showcase, selected only 60 projects after reviewing several hundred applications.

Elementary education major Emma Abler '17 presented her research, "Reading For A Reason: Analyzing OmniLibros.com and Global Children's Literature" at the Wisconsin Council for the Social Studies conference on March 14 in Madison.

Carthage psychology students, alongside professors Leslie Cameron and Cornelia Zerban, presented at the Midwest Institute for Students and Teachers of Psychology.

The Japanese Speech and Recitation Contest took place at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee on Friday, March 4. Speeches and performances were highly evaluated and greatly welcomed by the judges, professors, and the students.

Carthage held the fifth annual Celebration of Scholars event on Friday, April 24, 2015. Celebration of Scholars is a poster exhibition that features original research, scholarship, and creative work completed by Carthage students.

Eighteen Carthage students were selected to present their original research or scholarship at NCUR, held on the campus of Eastern Washington University in Cheney and Spokane, Washington.

Lauren Miller '15 presented a poster summarizing her research on knots at the joint annual meeting of the American Mathematical Society and the Mathematical Association of America in San Antonio.

The Carthage Vanguard is the official student research journal of Carthage College. Accepting entries from all disciplines, the Carthage Vanguard looks to publish all forms of research including senior theses, methods papers, dramaturgy and more!

For a seventh straight year, the Carthage Microgravity Team conducted research aboard a NASA parabolic aircraft.

A hallmark of the Carthage experience since the mid-1990s, the Summer Undergraduate Research Experience offers students across academic divisions the opportunity to engage in collaborative full-time research with professors. Students work closely with a faculty mentor on a new or developing line of research.
