Traveled to the Enactus National Exposition

The Carthage Enactus team headed to Kansas City for the organization's National Exposition for the ninth consecutive year. The group earned their bid at the Chicago Regional Competition. Only about 175 of over 450 teams are invited to nationals.

MadHacks Programming Competition - Second Place

Carthage students participated in their first hackathon Feb. 18-19 - and came home with a second place win! Congratulations to computer science majors Sydni Baluch '19, Austin Haskell '18, and Ryan Mahoney '18. Their team took second place in the University of Wisconsin-Madison's MadHacks programming competition. This national competition lasts about 30 hours, and involves more than 350 students in teams of up to four students each. The theme of this year's MadHacks was Games.

Represented Carthage at American Model United Nations Conference

Carthage Model United Nations students, accompanied by Professor Jeffrey Roberg and Professor Jerald Mast, spent four days of their Thanksgiving break in Chicago participating in the American Model United Nations (AMUN) Conference.

Carthage Math Team wins FaceOff

The team took first place in the FaceOff competition at the Pi Mu Epsilon Undergraduate Research Conference at St. Norbert College. Carthage's team outscored teams from nine other colleges in both preliminary rounds and the final question round. Carthage teams have won FaceOff competitions more than 10 times at mathematics meetings in Wisconsin over the past five years.

Traveled to the Enactus National Exposition

The Carthage chapter of Enactus headed to the organization's national exposition for the eighth straight year. The group earned their bid at the Chicago regional competition on March 21. This year's national exposition was held May 15-17 in St. Louis.

The Carthage Mock Trial just completed the best year its ever had by competing in the American Mock Trial Association National Championship Tournament for the first time.

Seventeen Model United Nations students, accompanied by Professor Jeffrey Roberg and Professor Penny Seymoure, spent most of their Spring Break in Bogota, Colombia participating in a Model United Nations (MONUA) conference at the Universidad de los Andes.

Enactus Chicago Regional Competition Champion

The Carthage Enactus entrepreneurial service chapter won a major victory at the Chicago Regional Competition in Lombard, Ill. The team has now earned an invitation to compete at the Enactus National Exposition in St. Louis.

Carthage Mock Trial Team wins bid to National Championship

The Carthage Mock Trial team has earned a bid to the Bell Tower National Championship in Greenville, South Carolina. Only 48 of 663 teams nationwide reach the Bell Tower Championship.

Mock Trial wins bid to national tournament

Carthage pulled through after some close rounds and finished with a 5-2-1 record at the Joliet Regional Tournament in Joliet, Illinois earning them a trip to the national tournament in Geneva, Illinois, to be held in early March. The last time Carthage had a team qualify was in 2012.

The American Model United Nations conference was held in Chicago Nov. 21-24. Carthage students competed in a field of 1,518 students from 88 universities and colleges across the United States who represented 133 countries.

Mock Trial team places at Minnesota Nordic Mock Trial Invitational

The Carthage Mock Trial teams competed at the University of Minnesota Nordic Mock Trial Invitational in Minneapolis from Oct. 9-11. Despite being the first invitational of the season, and the first for many members, both teams had impressive trials while acting as the prosecution and defense.

Carthage Woods and Waters is an outdoor club. We're dedicated to introducing students to all the outdoor sports and activities available to us in the Kenosha area. When we aren't fishing, mountain biking or trap shooting, you can find us helping pheasants forever with a controlled burn or taking a hunters safety course.

Carthage World Relief is a student organization which seeks to raise awareness for global health initiatives. CWR also supports international efforts to increase healthcare for those in need, due to poverty or disaster. CWR particularly works with the Nica-Agua Foundation to raise awareness for the need of pure water on Ometepe, Nicaragua as well as raise funds to install water purification systems.

Social Work Advocacy Group offers students of all majors an opportunity to share their academic experiences with fellow students, and use their acquired knowledge, values and skills to reach out to the Carthage community and beyond. Activities include fund-raising, socializing, working with other service organizations or individuals, and sponsoring seminars to keep students aware of current issues.

Member of Residence Life Council - Fall 2013

RLC includes representatives from each residence hall who work with the Director of Residence Life to improve the lives of students on campus and get people more involved. This governing board oversees the activities of each Hall Council. RLC hosts many events including Alcohol Awareness Week, Lil' Sibs Weekend, and state and regional conferences that enable members to become more involved on campus.
