Carthage women's basketball point guard Stephanie Kuzmanic '14 was named Capital One Academic All-American Player of the Year for NCAA Division III on Feb. 18, as well as first-team Capital One Academic All-America.

KCACTF One-Act Play Festival Winner
Mikaley Osley '14, a double-major in theatre and English, won KCACTF's One-Act Play Festival with her play "Matilda's Characters." The play was chosen from a field of more than 80 submissions.

Carthage Theatre selected to present at regional theatre festival
For the fifth consecutive year, the Carthage Theatre Department was invited to present a full production of a new play at the Kennedy Center/American College Theatre Regional Festival Jan. 7-11, and several Carthage students and faculty received recognition for excellence in collegiate theater.

ONE at Carthage wins national competition
Last year ONE at Carthage finished in third place in the ONE Campus Challenge, a nationwide competition to mobilize students to raise awareness about poverty, hunger, and preventable disease in developing countries through letter-writing and other awareness campaigns. This year, the student organization finished first in the competition. ONE is a national grassroots advocacy and campaigning organization that works to fight extreme poverty and preventable disease around the world.
