CCIW Newcomer of the Year - Lacrosse

Nicole Bowman, a freshman midfielder, becomes the second Newcomer of the Year in Carthage women's lacrosse program history. This season, Bowman finished second on the Lady Reds with 36 goals, third in points with 39, and tied for the team lead, along with Mussell and Griffin, with two game-winning goals.

All CCIW - Women's Lacrosse

The College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin announced on May 1 that six Lady Reds have been named to the 2017 CCIW All-Conference Women's Lacrosse Team. Making the first team were Nicole Bowman, Maddie Griffin and Emily Lima, while Maggie Allen, Rachel Mussell and Kendell Santin were named to the second team.

CCIW Player of the Week - Lacrosse

The College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin announced on May 1 that Carthage College's Rachel Mussell and Maddie Griffin swept the final weekly honors of the 2017 regular season. For Griffin, the honors are her fifth overall on the year and her third defensive, while Mussell wins the offensive award for the second time.

CCIW Player of the Week - Lacrosse

Carthage College men's lacrosse junior attack Luke Seydel was named College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Offensive Player of the Week on May 1. Seydel is the second Red Men to land CCIW Player of the Week after Andy Szun earned the distinction on March 27 and February 20.

Carthage College softball utility player Darian Pelsor was named College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Softball Hitter of the Week on TMay 2. Pelsor also landed CCIW Hitter of the Week on March 22, 2016.

CCIW Player of the Week - Golf

Carthage College men's golfer Matt Meneghetti was named College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Men's Golfer of the Week on May 2. This marks the second-consecutive week a Red Men has earned the distinction. Teammate Jordan Knutson pulled down the weekly honor on April 25.

The American Volleyball Coaches Association announced that Carthage College men's volleyball players Cody Bolan, Marc Hansen, Zach Lillig, Matt Reinsel and Griffin Shields have been named to the 2017 AVCA Men's Division III All-America teams.

The College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin announced on April 26 that Carthage College's Max Mella has been named the CCIW Women's Tennis Player of the Week following a week that saw the Lady Reds defeat Concordia University Wisconsin and the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.

Carthage College women's water polo senior attack Carly Strass (First Team) and freshman utility Maggie Hennigan (Second Team) were named to the 2017 Collegiate Water Polo Association All-Conference Team. This marks the first all-conference honor for Strass and Hennigan.

Carthage College softball players Hailey Rothstein and Katie Herron were named College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Players of the Week on April 18. Rothstein was named hitter of the week while Herron earned pitcher of the week accolades. The dynamic duo also swept the weekly honor on March 7.

Carthage College women's track & field junior thrower Mia Bennett was named College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Field Athlete of the Week on April 18. This marks the fourth-consecutive week a Lady Reds athlete has pulled down the honor. It's also Bennett's second outdoor weekly honor of the season (April 4).

Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League All-Conference

The Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League announced that four Carthage College men's volleyball players, Cody Bolan, Marc Hansen, Matt Reinsel and Griffin Shields, have been named all-league following the 2017 regular season. Reinsel and Shields were named to the first team, while Bolan and Hansen received the second team nod.

Carthage College women's track and field senior thrower Morgan Young was named College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Field Athlete of the Week on April 11. This marks Young's third-career CCIW Outdoor Track and Field weekly award after she claimed the honor on April 8, 2014 and April 22, 2014.

CCIW Player of the Week - Lacrosse

Carthage College men's lacrosse junior Andy Meyers was named College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season on April 10. Meyers also claimed the weekly honor on March 13. The Leawood, Kansas native registered a career-high 14 ground balls and one caused turnover in Carthage's 13-11 victory over Illinois Wesleyan on April 8.

CCIW Player of the Week - Softball

Carthage College softball senior Katie Herron was named College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Pitcher of the Week for the third time this season on April 10. Herron also landed the honor on April 4 and March 7. The Brooklyn Park, Minn., native made three appearances and two starts in a week that saw the Lady Reds finish 4-0. Herron closed the week with a 0.98 ERA and 14 strikeouts over 14.1 innings pitched on the week.

CCIW Player of the Week - Lacrosse

The College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin announced that Carthage College's Maddie Griffin has been named the CCIW Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week. Griffin, a senior midfielder from Parker, Colorado, won her third conference player of the week honor and first on the defensive side on Monday. She helped lead the Lady Reds to a win in their only game last week with 11 ground balls and three caused turnovers in a 16-4 win over Concordia-Chicago on March 29.
